Genomics & Cell Biology Specialist

Help train AI models for biology. You design hard, non-searchable tasks and benchmarks in areas such as cloning, primer and CRISPR design, functional genomics and assay troubleshooting, write worked solutions, judge model outputs and reasoning for biological feasibility, and write grading rubrics. Part-time, 20+ hours a week, remote for candidates in the UK or US. The engagement is arranged through a staffing partner acting as employer of record, while the posting also describes independent contractor status, so check the current terms on the application page.

Who it suits

  • PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, genomics, synthetic biology, biochemistry or a close field
  • Recent hands-on bench or computational work such as PCR, qPCR, cloning, CRISPR, cell-based assays or sequence analysis
  • Breadth across organisms and methods

Estimate your earnings on this role

A hypothetical calculation from the numbers you enter. It is not a promise of work or earnings. Most of the difference between a headline rate and what you take home is how much of your time has paid work in it.

After tax and fees
Per month, after tax

Slow assumes 60% of your expected paid hours, fast assumes 125%. The rate used for tasks is the fee, less unpaid tasks, divided by the time one task takes.
