STEM Expert (MSc/PhD)

Contractor role, about 15 hours a week, fully remote and global, with flexible hours including weekends. The project trains AI systems on technical problem-solving, scientific reasoning, data analysis and Python, and the role is coding-heavy.

Typical work: solve and validate challenging problems in your field; use Python for calculations or simulations; review AI-generated answers for factual, mathematical and scientific correctness; and spot wrong assumptions, reasoning errors and missing constraints.

Pay note: Micro1 lists $60 to $120 an hour, but says compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications, and the time a task takes varies, so actual hourly earnings depend on how fast you work.

Who it suits

• Deep expertise in at least one of chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, earth or environmental science, or robotics
• Practical Python proficiency, and experience using coding agents in your workflow
• Strong scientific, mathematical or quantitative problem-solving
• A specific degree or number of years is not strictly required if you can show strong expertise
