Legal Citation Specialist (Law Students)

Contractor role, remote. The project supports legal citation work for training AI systems. No AI experience is needed; your Bluebook fluency and editorial judgement are what count.

Typical work: review existing Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics and flag rules that are unclear, incomplete or would be applied inconsistently; identify edge cases the rubrics miss and recommend how to handle them; and build sample cite-checking tasks, pairing source material with citations that contain realistic errors, plus the correct answer and an explanation of the rule.

Who it suits

• Current law student (2L or 3L) or recent JD graduate
• Law review or law journal experience, ideally cite-checking or source collection
• Strong working knowledge of The Bluebook, including pincites, short forms, signals and parentheticals
• Able to explain why a citation is wrong, not only that it is
